WESTFIELD, NJ — Maize Cocina & Cocktails in downtown Westfield is marking the start of the school year with a two-month back-to-school campaign aimed at students, teachers and families.

The restaurant said alcohol is excluded from the promotion.
It is also not valid with Happy Hour or other offers, and it excludes Friday evenings and Saturdays. Maize is closed Mondays.
Later in September, the restaurant plans to launch its own Teacher Appreciation Week.
Maize said the event will recognize local educators with a special offer, though details of that promotion will be announced separately.
"Hospitality is about creating a place where people feel welcomed and connected," said Chef and Co-Owner Jesa Henneberry. "Back-to-school is an exciting time for students, families and teachers, and we’re proud to celebrate the season by giving our community another reason to gather around the table.”
Maize Cocina & Cocktails is located in downtown Westfield inside a restored historic train station.
The restaurant serves modern Mexican cuisine and handcrafted cocktails and describes its dining experience as elevated and welcoming.
The business is led by Henneberry, who was a winner of Food Network’s "Chopped."
