What Businesses Are Coming To Westfield And When?
Vegan bakery, high-end sushi and a fast, causal Greek restaurant are planned for early 2019.

WESTFIELD, NJ - The new year has barely begun but already there are new businesses opening their doors to customers in Westfield. A trio of newbies are already serving customers and our friends at Downtown Westfield say it is only the beginning.
Grand Openings
- Signature Realty has opened at 233 North Ave. E. (near Jay's Cycle Center). Their renovation is complete and Michelle Pais and staff are ready to assist patrons.
- Orgreen Poke up and running at 132 E. Broad Street. The restaurant offers Hawaiian inspired poke made using a "non-oil" cooking procedure and a special filtered water system. Their homemade recipes are a source of protein and are high in Omega 3s, and finished with sauces that contain gluten-free and organic soy sauces. Manager Kidd Fang says they specialize in delicious, healthy, and fresh food.
- Atlantic Medical Group, part of Atlantic Health System, is opened a new office location in Westfield on Jan. 15 at 140-142 Central Avenue. They offer primary care and women's health services (ob-gyn). This state-of-the-art facility provides care for the entire family, has convenient parking and on-line appointment scheduling. Soon-To-Open
- Bareburger will open at 126 Central Avenue next door to Warby Parker this spring. This upscale burger franchise with a full liquor license offers burgers, salads and sandwiches. Their menu is over one-third vegetarian and plant-based and they work with sustainable farmers and partners. Enjoy everything from a bison burger with blue cheese, bacon, bourbon jam and caramelized onions, to a sweet potato, kale & wild rice patty.
- Bespoke by Gambert is coming in February. This modern mens haberdashery offers custom shirts, suits and sportswear, as well as shoes from casual to dress and accessories. 221 North Ave. E. (next to Jay's Cycle Center).
- Buddha Sushi, a high end sushi restaurant, will open at 35 Elm Street. in the former Mojave Grill location. While the date for opening hasn't been established yet, renovations are underway.
- Cinnaholic will be opening soon next to Ferraro's at 15 Elm Street. Cinnaholic is a vegan bakery franchise that started in 2010 and currently operates in eight states. The company's owners appeared on the television show Shark Tank in 2014, which ended with them ultimately accepting a $200,000 investment offer from Robert Herjavec.
- Innovasian Taco will open very soon at 106 Quimby Street. (at the corner of Central Ave.). Signs are up and renovation is almost complete.
- Osteo Strong , a Tony Robbins company, is coming to 121 Central Ave.
- OsteoStrong is a unique place where you can go to improve your overall health by focusing on the skeletal system to improve bone density, posture, balance, athletic performance and lessen joint and back pain.
- Portokali Modern Grill, a new fast casual Greek restaurant, is coming to 22-24 Elm Street. (former location of The Rug Gallery).
Westfield Mayor Shelley Brindle said her administration will continue to focus on improving the general business climate in town and on long-term goals.

"Whether it's creating events like AddamsFest and Second Sundays to drive foot traffic, to passing ordinances that enable new experiences like rooftop dining," Brindle said. "Or to reducing the bureaucracy of opening a business by granting more latitude to our zoning official to avoid unnecessary Board of Adjustment applications and expense for aspiring business owners."
