Woman Killed In Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash In Linden

LINDEN, NJ — A woman was killed Thursday following a hit-and-crash early in the afternoon.

At around 12:55 p.m., the woman reportedly was walking north across E. St. George Avenue, from the Linden side to the Roselle side, when she was struck by a vehicle traveling east toward Elizabeth on E. St. George Avenue, Linden Police report.

The vehicle then fled the scene, headed east on E. St. George Avenue toward Elizabeth. The woman, whose name is not being released, was pronounced deceased at the scene, police report.

The crash remains under investigation by the Linden Police Traffic Bureau, and anyone with information is
asked to call Investigator Jimmy Solano at 908-474-8505.
