Woman Went Missing In NJ Nor'easter 2 Days Ago

A widespread search is underway for a woman who went missing two days ago during the nor'easter that struck New Jersey.

The woman went to the Union Township Police Department on Thursday searching for help to get home. Then she wandered away, police said.

The woman, Moana Tarver, told police took hours for her ride to arrive in the snowstorm. She has health issues and was missing her evening medicine, police said.

The woman lives in Perth Amboy and was at a program in Elizabeth during the day, police said. Her ride home was delayed because of the the storm so she walked on Morris Avenue into Union Township, police said.

Tarver was last seen in the Walgreens store next to the Union Township Police Department and when she walked east on Morris Avenue at about 7:50 p.m. on Thursday.
