WEST ORANGE, NJ — A group of seventh graders in West Orange were among those who pitched in for a Thanksgiving food drive for the 2019 holidays.

According to school administrators, students in Jay Wecht's class at Roosevelt Middle School were on hand to greet Mayor Robert Parisi last week as they boxed up their donations to the Mayor's Sunshine Fund.

The Mayor's Sunshine Fund provides Thanksgiving baskets to in-need families in the West Orange community. Over the past years, West Orange schools have aided the effort by providing non-perishable food for the fund.
