3 Candidates File For 2020 West Orange School Board Election
Here are the candidates who filed to run for the West Orange Board of Education.
WEST ORANGE, NJ — A total of three candidates filed to run for the West Orange Board of Education in the Nov. 3 general election, which will be held mostly by mail due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Those who filed include:
- Ken Alper - Leadership with Results
- Jeremias Salinas - no slogan
- Melinda Huerta - Homegrown In WOTown
The filing deadline for candidates in Essex County was July 27.

As of July 2018, school board candidates have been permitted to circulate petitions jointly and be bracketed together on the ballot with one or two other candidates. Candidates can submit a short, “non-political slogan” up to three words.
