400 Turkeys Donated In West Orange For Holiday

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The Holy Trinity-West Orange Food Pantry and volunteers from the community pulled together to distribute 400 turkeys and side bags during a two-day event over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Organizers and volunteers thanked individual donors, as well as several groups who helped make the event possible. They included:

• United Presbyterian Church – side bag assembly and delivery
• Teamsters Local 863 – turkeys, groceries, and diapers
• Community Food Bank of Hillside – turkeys and roasting chickens
• Barry Geltzeiler – Annual community turkey drive (360+ turkeys)
• West Orange High School Football team – turkey delivery from Dunkin Donuts
• Adam Goldman and South Valley Road Dunkin Donuts – turkey drop off
• Roosevelt Middle School – food drive
• Liberty Middle School – food drive
• St. Cloud School - pies
• Edison Middle School – food drive and pies
• Redwood School – food drive
• Gregory School – food drive
• Gregory Neighborhood Annual Virtual Food Drive - $5,172
• Goddard School – food drive
• Kessler Rehabilitation – food drive
• Mayor’s Sunshine Fund
