5 Hurt In Crash On I-280 In West Orange, Police Investigation Continues
Several people were injured in a car crash on the busy highway, authorities said.
WEST ORANGE, NJ — Several people were injured in a car crash on I-280 in West Orange on Tuesday morning, authorities say.
The crash took place around 9 a.m. on the westbound portion of the highway at milepost 7.2 in West Orange, a New Jersey State Police spokesperson said.
After making a preliminary investigation, police determined that the crash happened when a Subaru SUV struck the rear of a Toyota transport van.

Four occupants of the Toyota sustained minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital, police said.
The driver of the Subaru also sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized, police said.

An investigation into the crash continues, state police said. No additional information was immediately available.
