WEST ORANGE, NJ — Will a mixed-use building with nearly 100 apartments get a green light in West Orange? That’s a question to be answered another day.

The West Orange Planning Board postponed a hearing for 525 Northfield Avenue at their meeting last week. The hearing will be carried to the board meeting on Sept. 9.

The applicant, 525 Northfield Ave LLC, is proposing the construction of a four-story, mixed-use building at the property, which was formerly home to the Essex House restaurant.
