The establishment of West Orange High School sophomore forward Chisom Amaefuna as a dominating player in the Essex County continues.
Amaefuna had 17 points and 13 rebounds led the Montaineers to a 47-34 victory over Nutley. West Orange is 4-5, while Nutley dropped to 5-5.
"She's really good and she's young,'' said West Orange coach Kim Wilson. "She is just going to get better and better. In nine games I think she's had seven double doubles. She's the real deal and she's getting better every day because she works had. She's just a real good kid who loves the game and tries to improve.''

Wilson added that Amaefuna also has a accurate, short jump shot from the baseline.
"She's the real deal,'' Wilson said.

The team is also improving behind their young standout.
"They are starting to play together as a group; they are reading each other much better,'' Wilson said. "They see each other with the way they cut. They are confident that they can trust each other and where they are going to be. I'm very pleased with them.''
The Mountaineers led 33-20 after three quarters.
Sophomore guard Alyssa Almario netted 14 points on three 3-pointers and junior guard Allison Mejia had seven points, seven assists four four rebounds. She also had a steal.
Senior forward Kimberly Reitmeyer had four assists, three rebounds and three points.
The Mountaineers were coming off a 46-42 loss Tuesday to unbeaten West Essex. The result gave the team some confidence, Wilson said.
"It was a real confidence builder that we can play with a top team in the conference,'' Wilson said. "It definitely carried over to Nutley.''
They'll get another test Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. when they play at Bayonne (9-1).
"I like playing a tough out of conference schedule,'' Wilson said.
