The planning board, Downtown West Orange Alliance, and state food-access efforts all back the project, which aims to revitalize the corridor and improve fresh food options, though no construction timeline is set.
• West Orange's Ciaran Brosnan enjoys stellar HS track career, heads to Univ. of Virginia (essexnewsdaily.com) — West Orange resident and former West Orange High School student Ciaran Brosnan is heading to the University of Virginia after a standout high school track career. He helped set relay records, won a state Meet of Champions title in the 800 meters, and now aims for NCAA and ACC success while studying media at UVA.
• Former Shelton teacher loses bid to get off DCF watchlist after arrest (ctpost.com) — A former Connecticut music teacher, now living in West Orange, has lost her court bid to be removed from a state child neglect and abuse registry after accusations involving students in Shelton. A judge found sufficient evidence to uphold the Department of Children and Families' decision, while related criminal charges remain pending in state Superior Court.
