The Salvation Army East Orange Corps invites residents to its annual "Family & Friends Day" on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. at The Clipper Pavilion at The Waterfront in the South Mountain Recreation Complex in West Orange.
The free community event will bring together families, friends, neighbors, volunteers and supporters for an afternoon of fellowship, fun and connection. Guests can enjoy face painting, snacks and ice cream while meeting Salvation Army leadership and learning more about local programs, services and ways to get involved with The Salvation Army East Orange Corps.

Families can also enjoy the recreational amenities available throughout South Mountain Recreation Complex, including playgrounds, walking, hiking and running trails. Swan paddle boats are also available through the park for an additional fee.
The Salvation Army East Orange Corps serves residents of East Orange, West Orange, Orange, South Orange, Maplewood, Livingston, Millburn, Short Hills and Florham Park.
