WEST ORANGE, NJ — An attempted car theft was reported in West Orange last week, authorities say.
According to the West Orange Police Department, a Mt. Pleasant Avenue resident said someone tried to burglarize and steal their car on Sept. 9.
The resident said that they left their home to find the back window of their 2024 Hyundai Elantra shattered. After taking a closer look, the car's owner saw that there was damage to the ignition lock of the vehicle.
No additional details were immediately available.
