WEST ORANGE, NJ — A West Orange resident who paid two juveniles to create sexual videos of themselves was sentenced to 50 years in prison on child pornography charges last week, federal prosecutors say.
Nabeen Leigh Singha, 39, of West Orange, was sentenced to 600 months imprisonment followed by 10 years supervised release, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Prosecutors said Singha exchanged sexually explicit messages with two minor victims and paid them to create sexually explicit videos and images of themselves to send to him over the internet between July 2021 and March 2022.
Singha also communicated with an intermediary and paid them to send sexually explicit videos and images of four additional minor victims during the same time period, authorities said.
Law enforcement searched and seized Singha's phone and found nearly 5,000 images and 620 videos depicting child pornography. These materials included depictions of prepubescent minors under 12-years-old, prosecutors said.
