Nick Allegrino, a longtime township employee, recently won the employees class at the annual William "Lefty" Boland Golf Outing at Rock Spring Club.
The tournament is named after Lefty Boland, a revered township figure, who served as the township's recreation director for more than four decades.
The tournament is the longest running in the township and is a main fundraiser for Boland Grants, which provides funds to special needs classes and programs in West Orange public schools. Grants are earmarked for purchase of technology items like iPads, computers and smart boards.
