This practice test, held during the week of spring break, is an opportunity for students to practice the PSAT for free. The event is full. A follow-up session is scheduled for Wednesday, April 3 (see below).

Teen Open Mic – Monday, April 1, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Musicians, poets, and writers between grades 6 and 12 are invited to come share their talents at this open mic. At March’s open mic we saw rap performances, folk music, poetry readings, and classical music for viola, as well as a freestyle rap and unexpected (but very fun) sing-a-long. Registration is available online and performers will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Kaplan PSAT Workshop For Parents and Students – Wednesday, April 3, 7 to 8 p.m.

Parents and students can come to this information session about preparing for college. This is a follow-up program to Monday’s PSAT Practice Test. Both events are free. Registration available online.

Read ‘N Chat – Wednesday, April 10, 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. – Grades 6 to 8

This month’s book is Middle School is Worse Than Meatloaf by Jennifer L. Holm, a three-time Newberry recipient and the author of the Babymouse graphic novels series. Come hang out, chat about your favorite books, and maybe grab at snack at this monthly book club.

Anime Club – Wednesday, April 24, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. – Grades 6 to 12

Come hang out to talk about your favorite manga, anime, or comics while the Anime Club watches clips from its favorite shows and anime movies. Many anime artists also come to Anime Club to work on their drawings or do origami. Light refreshments provided.
