Are Your Property Taxes Current? Prism's are not.

Are your West Orange property taxes current? Did you know that as of last weeks town council meeting, the August property taxes of Prism Development are in arrears?

This is the same Prism that is going to receive $6.3 million dollars in bonds guaranteed by us, the taxpayers, and the same Prism that is has received a special 30 year tax break from the township.

One citizen even told the council that Prism is in arrears in 7 other properties that it owns. It makes me wonder if the $6.3 million that they will receive from us will actually be used to improve our town (as we were told) or will it be used to pay off the taxes on their other properties.

I asked the Council and the Mayor what steps they were taking to get the tax money from Prism. I received no answer.

If Prism doesn't need to pay its taxes on time, why should we?
