Award-Winning Storyteller to Visit WOPL
An award-winning storyteller from Toronto will visit the West Orange Public Library at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 15.
As a celebration of National Library Week, the West Orange Public Library will host award-winning traditional storyteller and author Aubrey Davis, who will share his heartwarming stories for the whole family to enjoy.
Best known for Bagels from Benny and The Enormous Potato, Davis, a retired teacher, has more than three decades of experience as a storyteller. Among his accolades for Bagels for Benny are the Sydney Taylor Award, the Canadian Jewish Book Awards Children’s Literature Prize, and the Mr. Christie Award (Silver).
Davis also recently won Octagon Press’s World Tales Video Storytelling Competition.

Davis will perform his stories at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 15 at the West Orange Public Library, a program made possible by the Estelle Citrin Family Fund. All ages are welcome at the program, but registration is required either online, by calling 973-736-0198, ext. 16, or by visiting the children’s room at the library.
