Blowing Away Past Mistakes

Golda Och Academy Lower School students celebrated Tashlich Friday.

Golda Och Academy Lower School students celebrated Tashlich Friday. LS Principal Gloria Kron said, "By performing tashlich, we signify our hope that God will overlook our failings during the past year and grant us favor in the year to come."  Children in grades Pre-K - 2 blew bubbles to "blow away" their mistakes from the past year as a symbolic gesture. Students in grades 3-5 wrote their mistakes with washable markers on a piece of paper. They then "threw" their private notes into a bucket of water to castaway their past mistakes. Pre-K students also sang an "I'm Sorry" song.
