JR PEE WEE MUSTANGS CRUSH HACKENSACK AND CLINCH FIRST PLACE!

Quaterback Sean Brown rushed for a TD and passed for another to lead many outstanding Mustangs to a big win over Hackensack 31-6.

The West Orange PAL Jr Pee Wee Mustangs clinched first place in the Twin Valley Football Conference Sunday October 28, 2012, with a big win over Hackensack 31-6. Shakhi Carson started off the scoring with a 39 yard TD run on the first play of the game. Jayson Raines would score next on a 5 yard roll out pass from Sean Brown. The dynamic tandem also hooked up for an extra point score later in the game. Makhi Green then added  his team leading 8th TD on a 49 yard run. Divine Zaire showed his juke moves to score the 4th TD of the day for the Mustangs. Sean Brown would finish the scoring with a 12 yard bootleg later in the game. Zander Lipsey, Dorian Rawls, Adam Ashby and Aiden Healy also added nice runs to the game. They combined for 40 yards on the day. The line was dominated by the Mustangs up front. Jacob Maurice, Syncere Flanigan, Chris Parsons, Zander Timothy, Adrian Charles, Jarrett Waiters, Jordan Quiles, Sean Tandy, Hunter Bonaparte and Bowen Wright did a nice job opening holes for the backs all game.

The defense put up a strong performance as always. Jacob Maurice led with three takcles and a fumble recovery. Chris Parsons, Makhi Green, Jared Massay, Pharele Brun and Elijah Brown also all made nice plays on defense. Shakhi Carson came up with a fumble recovery as well. Other Mustangs that put up a strong defense were Jarrett Waiters, Adam Ashby, Gavin Rembert,  Aidan Carter, Larry Verducci, Jonathan Salazar and Colton Leher.

 The last game of the season was canceled due to the hurricane. But that will not slow the Mustangs down. Playoffs will be starting this coming Sunday. West Orange (7-0) will face 8th seed Montclair (2-6) to start their push for the championship.
