Wednesday, May15 - Summer Registration Night in WO
Spring has definitely sprung and we are busy at the West Orange Rec Dept. getting everything lined up for the summer. Our first order of business is to get the pool ready to open on Memorial Day weekend. Second and just as important is to inform the public about all the other great recreational options available.
The Department of Public Works and outside contractors are working hard to get the pool ready for an anticipated great summer. The three pools are being cleaned & repainted. Landscaping and a few necessary minor repairs are also being completed. Our recently upgraded filtration system promises to keep our pool water clean and safe for all the swimmers.
On Wednesday, May 15th, we will be hosting Registration Night @ The WO Town Pool from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM. (Rain Date – Thur., May 16th). This is the last chance for residents to purchase a pool membership at the discounted Early Bird rate. Registrations will be taken for Swim Lessons as well as sign-ups for the WO Wave Swim Team. Registration forms will also be available for a wide variety of summer sports camps and programs. SORRY NO SWIMMING! Two flyers with more descriptive information are posted in the “Summer 2013” section of the Rec website – www.westorange.org. One provides details about Registration Night. The second flyer provides a week by week breakdown of summer sports camps to help parents to plan their schedules. Each flyer is also being distributed to all the public schools.

Hope to see everybody on the 15th. Come for yourself and see why the Ginny Duenkel Pool is often referred to as “West Orange’s Best Kept Secret”
