West Orange Rotary to Hold Food Collection Drive at West Orange ShopRite This Sunday

The Rotary Club of West Orange holds another food collection drive at West Orange ShopRite this Sunday April 1, 2012 from 10AM-2PM

The Rotary Club of West Orange will be holding another important food collection drive this Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the West Orange ShopRite from 10 AM until 2PM.

West Orange Rotary has been holding these food drives 3-4 times annually since 2002.  The supplies are all donated primarily to Trinity Church Food Pantry as well as a couple other local food kitchens.

Please do your holiday shopping this Sunday (Palm Sunday) at the West Orange ShopRite and pick up a few extra supplies for the food collection.  We also accept cash and check donations.

Make your checks payable to:  The Rotary Club of West Orange Foundation and write "Food Drive" in the memo section.  We are 501c3 corporation so your donation is tax deductible.  You can also drop off non-perishable foodstuffs at the location above if you cannot attend the food drive date.

We are sincerely grateful for our partnership with the West Orange ShopRite for allowing us to hold these critical food drives at this location for the last 10 years!

Examples of non-perishable foodstuffs to donate include:

  • canned vegetables
  • canned tuna/chicken
  • pasta
  • rice
  • jar products like tomato sauce and pasta sauce
  • cereals
  • pancake mix and syrup
  • soups
  • personal hygiene products: toothpaste, deodorant, mouth wash, toothbrushes
  • condiments: mustard/mayo/ketchup/salt/pepper

As long as it is non-perishable, we will take it.
