WOPL to Hold Open Mic For Teens

Teen open mic will be held on March 4 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the West Orange Public Library.

Do you play guitar? Rap? Write songs? Sing? Play keyboard? Are you in a band?

If so, West Orange Public Library’s Teen Open Mic night is a great place to show off your talents. On March 4, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., if you’re between 6th through 12th grade, you can come sign-up for a 10-minute spot. We’ll provide the P.A. and microphones; you bring your instruments, cords, amps, and musicianship.

Percussion is limited to hand instruments (think bongos, djembes, or tambourines).

Sign-ups are also available online through the West Orange Public Library website.

If you’re a poet, don’t fret—in April we’ll host a spoken word open mic in celebration of National Poetry Month.
