Essex County, NJ (October 24, 2026) – For over 30 years, the Essex County (NJ) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated (ECCL) has hosted its signature program, the notable Emerald & Ivory Debutante Cotillion, a formal ball steeped in tradition, where Debutantes are introduced to society. This year ECCL’s Debutante Cotillion will feature thirty young women.

The illustrious program has been offered every other year, by invitation only, to outstanding high school junior and senior girls in New Jersey, who have demonstrated academic excellence and a commitment to community service. “The Emerald & Ivory Cotillion represents one of our Chapter’s most cherished traditions—one that celebrates academic achievement, leadership, service and the promise of an extraordinary generation of young women,” said ECCL President Deborah Enix-Ross. “For more than three decades, we have had the privilege of creating an experience that honors each Debutante’s accomplishments while preparing and inspiring her to lead with purpose, confidence and a commitment to community. This year’s Cotillion is a beautiful continuation of that legacy, and we are proud to celebrate these remarkable young women alongside their escorts, families, mentors and supporters.”

Cotillion Chair Nasheena Porter and the cotillion committee began with the Debutante Leadership Program in March, where the debutantes* participated in educational, cultural, social and community service activities. “While the Cotillion is the culminating celebration, the true heart of Emerald & Ivory is the journey our Debutantes experience along the way,” said Porter. “Through the Debutante Leadership Program, these young women have had opportunities to expand their knowledge, strengthen their leadership skills, serve their communities and build meaningful connections with one another. We are excited to see them bring all of that growth, confidence and grace to the ballroom as they make their formal debut.”

The upcoming 16th Biennial Emerald & Ivory Debutante Cotillion will be held on Sunday, December 6th at 3pm at the Dolce Hotel by Wyndham (formerly Sheraton Parsippany Hotel), Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ.
