EAST ORANGE, NJ — A group of students in East Orange recently got a visit from celebrity chef Gerry Garvin.

On Tuesday, Garvin stopped by East Orange Campus High School to speak with students and offer some professional insights – and life lessons, too. He was on hand to celebrate the launch of a hospitality and culinary arts program at their school, at an event sponsored by the East Orange School District and SodexoMagic.

Garvin, the host of multiple television shows and the author of “A Message to My Children,” shared some life anecdotes and spoke with the students about their own career aspirations, also giving them a copy of his book and a Magic Kitchen Apron.
