West Orange native, Kyrie Irving, 19, was taken as the Cleveland Cavaliers' number one pick in Tuesday night's NBA Draft, according to ESPN.
At 6'2 and weighing 180 pounds, Irving, 19, played point guard for Duke University for one year. He grew up in West Orange where his father still resides.
The National Basketball Association (NBA) Draft took place at the Prudential Center in Newark.

Irving later hosted a private party for family and friends at Club 4Sixty6 in West Orange. Hundreds lined up outside the club around 9 p.m. for a chance to congratulate the young basketball star, but the party was guest-list only.
Irving was not available for comment.
