Crane Topples In Essex County; Driver Temporarily Trapped: Report

A construction crane overturned with a worker inside, injuring the man and knocking down some power lines in Essex County, NJ, reports say.

WEST ORANGE, NJ -- A construction crane overturned with a worker inside, injuring the man and knocking down some power lines in the area in West Orange just before rush hour, reports say.

The crane, which was attached to a flatbed truck, overturned around 4 p.m. near 242 St. Cloud Avenue, trapping its operator inside, News 12 New Jersey reported.

The crane operator was trapped inside for about 30 minutes before firefighters extricated him; he's in stable condition, Pix 11 New York stated.
