East Orange Man Found Dead In Newark Park 1 Day After Christmas
The park is located in Essex County off Oraton Parkway and South Orange Avenue alongside the Garden State Parkway.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Authorities have identified a man found dead in Vailsburg Park a day after Christmas as an East Orange resident.
Police found the body of Darin Henry, 34, of East Orange, in Vailsburg Park in Newark on Monday, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office. He had been reported missing by a family member.
Authorities said that the cause and manner of Henry’s death are pending toxicology; he was identified by his fingerprints.

“At this time the death does not appear to be suspicious,” prosecutors said. “There were no signs of trauma or injuries.”
An investigation is active and ongoing, prosecutors said.
