East Orange To Spearhead Job Training Program For Home Health Aides
The City of East Orange is helping local residents to get a foot in the door of a new career as a home health aide.
EAST ORANGE, NJ — The City of East Orange will be helping local residents to get a foot in the door of a new career as a home health aide with an upcoming training program.
The city has been spearheading several job programs in an effort to help residents find careers, hosting training programs for future construction workers and drone pilots. Now, the East Orange Mayor’s Office of Employment and Training is branching into the health care industry with a free job training course that will run from June 10 to July 12.
According to an advisory from the city, the home health aide training classes are open to East Orange residents. They will take place at 299 Bloomfield Avenue in Bloomfield. There is 76 hours required. The program is certified by the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
