Elderly Man, 76, Killed In Essex County House Fire
The victim lived alone in a single-family home in East Orange, authorities said.
EAST ORANGE, NJ — A house fire claimed the life of a man in East Orange early Monday morning, authorities said.
Albert Prince, 76, was killed when a fire spread through his three-story, single-family home on Hawthorne Avenue, where he lived alone, according to a joint statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the East Orange Police Department.
The cause and origin of the fire are under investigation, authorities said.
