‘Emaciated’ Rottweiler Needs New Home In Essex County
Animal welfare activists are seeking a home for a Rottweiler allegedly left outside an Essex County home on New Year's Day.

EAST ORANGE, NJ — Animal welfare activists are seeking a home for a potentially abused and “emaciated” Rottweiler allegedly left outside an Essex County home without food, water or shelter on New Year’s Day.
The canine – along with another dog - was spotted outside a home on North Clinton Street in East Orange, according to the Reformers-Advocates for Animal Shelter Change Facebook page.
Animal control officers with the NJ SPCA were reportedly on the scene around 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 2. Both dogs are safe and the Rottweiler is “being treated,” activists said.
