ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A somber but emotion-laden ceremony took place in Essex County on Friday in remembrance of the 9/11 attacks.

For the past years, county officials have been hosting an annual ceremony at the September 11th Memorial in Eagle Rock Reservation. But this year, due to the coronavirus, the tribute was closed to the public.

The 2020 ceremony was attended by Helman Correa, the father of Danny Correa, who lost his life at the World Trade Center.
