Essex County Foodies: Sample Dozens Of Local Restaurants, April 9

The 2018 Taste of Essex County fundraising event will include scrumptious eats from dozens of local restaurants and live entertainment.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Essex County foodies have a mini-holiday to post on their calendars: April 9, 2018. That’s when the 18th annual Taste of Essex event will take place, providing locals with a chance to sample fares from some of the area’s top restaurants… all in one place.

According to organizers, dozens of Essex County eateries will be participating in this year’s festivities, which will also include activities such as chair massage, a 50-50 drawing and prizes for best savory and sweet dishes.

Live entertainment will include appearances from Any Excuse for a Party! of Fairfield, magician David Corsaro, The Creativity Caravan, musician Tom Pimpinelli, Elements Massage of Nutley and Maxum Cigars.

“Essex County continues to grow as a popular dining destination,” said Michael Daniels, president of the North Essex Chamber of Commerce. “We hope that people will join us for what promises to be an exciting evening of outstanding food and much more.

The event has been made possible through the financial support from United Way of Northern New Jersey, Lifelong Investments, Spencer Savings Bank - North Caldwell, Van Dyk Manor Nursing Home, Caring Hands Healthcare Services, Inc., Kearny Bank – Fairfield, K Macken Landscaping LLC, Smolin & Co. P.A., and Asahda's Restaurant & No.413 Banquet Hall.

A portion of the proceeds from the Taste of Essex will go toward the North Essex Chamber Scholarship Fund which provides scholarships to high school seniors in Essex County, organizers said.
