Essex County Man, 33, Fatally Stabbed In East Orange

EAST ORANGE, NJ — A 33-year-old man was stabbed to death in East Orange on Wednesday, authorities said.

Police responded to the 100-block of South Munn Avenue at 2:55 p.m. after getting a report about a stabbing. Officers found Joshua Mewborn, 33, of East Orange, suffering from a stab wound, according to a statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the East Orange Police Department.

Mewborn was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:21 p.m.

Police arrested a person for disorderly conduct, but have not apprehended Mewborn’s assailant, authorities said.
