Mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual Llewellyn Park 5K on Sunday October 2nd at 9:00 am (rain or shine)!
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EVENT:
Glenmont will be open to participants of the event for a private viewing from 10:00 - 12:00 am. Your race bib will allow you and your family (or guest) complimentary admittance to tour the house at your leisure without the usual requirement of being part of a timed, guided tour.
Kids' races will take place immediately following the 5K on the front lawn of Glenmont. A cross country fitness coach will lead the children in warm-ups and fitness exercises before the children take part in races to find out: WHO IS THE FASTEST KID IN LLEWELLYN PARK?!
Entrance to the Park is located at Park Avenue and Main Street
Schedule:
8:00 am On-site registration and number pick-up
8:45 am Registration for 5K closes (registration for kids' races continues until 10:15am)
9:00 am 5K Run and Walk
10:30 am Kids' Fun Run (ages 10 and under)
Course: Please note that the first two miles of this course are hilly. Runners and walkers will have an opportunity to stop at the start/finish area after the first loop at approximately 1.2 miles. Roads will be closed to traffic until 10:30 am. A race vehicle will do a sweep of the course to pick up runners and walkers who wish to stop at that time.
Registration: $25 for adults - $10 for kids
Fees include souvenir T-shirt and refreshments.
Race numbers will be mailed to all entrants who register by September 16th. (All others can pick up their numbers on race day at the registration tent.)
