Starting a new exercise regimen to lose weight can be challenging. Keeping the weight off after you’ve lost it can be even more difficult, but it doesn’t have to be. The JCC is offering a New Weigh of Living—a 14 week virtual program that focuses on behavior modification and making the right choices about what you put in your body. Weigh of Living leverages a scientifically proven curriculum to help participants learn the skills needed to make healthier food and physical activity choices. Research indicates that people who learn to use lifestyle management skills are more likely to develop and maintain healthy eating habits. The program will help identify triggers and barriers to poor eating and activity behaviors, promote realistic and gradual nutrition and fitness goals, and build skills to continue self-directed success.
An information session with the Program Facilitator will be held on Tuesday, January 17 at 7:30pm at the Leon & Toby Cooperman JCC, 706 Northfield Avenue, West Orange, Tepper Conference Center. Weigh of Living begins Tuesday, January 31. For more information, please contact Paul Newell at 973-530-3992 (pnewell@jccmetrowest.org).
