The monthly series will begin with an open mic at 7:30pm. Anyone wishing to perform music, comedy, poetry, dance or any other performing art is encouraged to participate by signing up at 7pm on the night of the show. Every effort will be made to give all a chance to perform. Featured artists The Copper Ponies will perform at 9pm. Open mic will resume after their set.
Annie Donahue is a special education teacher. Erik Balkey is a house painter. Together, they are “The Copper Ponies” — a brand new singer-songwriter duo straight from their living rooms in New Jersey. With a focus on lyrics, melody and harmony, and an understated delivery, the music is simple and unadorned. They will have you leaning in and hanging on each word and note of their songs with an authentic mix of heartfelt, humorous, flirty and only slightly dangerous.
