Atlantic Home Care & Hospice Launches New Bereavement Day Camp Partnering with JCC Camp Deeny Riback Camp Clover is a FREE week-long summer day camp designed for children and teens ages 7-15 who have lost a loved one - Space is still available! Atlantic Home Care & Hospice announces Camp Clover, a FREE week-long (August 22-26) summer bereavement day camp to be held JCC Camp Deeny Riback, a JCC MetroWest camp. Camp Clover is designed to help children and teens ages 7-15 deal with the loss of someone close to them. “Camp Clover offers traditional summer camp programs like swimming, sports, and arts and crafts combined with educational and therapeutic activities designed to assist children in their grieving process,” said Marcie Colon, LSCW, manager, social service department, Atlantic Home Care & Hospice. “Children are in a supportive environment where they can express their feelings and share their stories knowing they will not be judged and are not alone.” Activities are planned to foster coping skills that children can use throughout their lives. One highlight for campers is a visit from Michael “Big Mike” Lynche, an American Idol Season 9 contestant whose mother died when he was a teenager. Atlantic Home Care & Hospice has partnered with JCC Metrowest Camp Deeny Riback in Flanders, NJ, which is hosting Camp Clover August 22-26, during a 9th bonus week at the end of the season. Camp Clover is run by trained staff and volunteers and is funded strictly by donations. Bus transportation and lunch are provided. Campers enjoy athletics, aquatics, adventure, and arts programming including sports, ropes challenge courses, lake site, drama, cooking, digital photography, Israel Program Center, mountain biking, ceramics, trips, and overnights. Transportation and kosher lunch included (ages 3½–entering grade 10).
