Join Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. and Governor Chris Christie at Essex County Turtle Back Zoo for the grand opening of the Sea Lion Sound Exhibit, the largest exhibit developed in Turtle Back Zoo’s history. It features an 82,000-gallon pool for sea lions and a 1,600-gallon touch tank for stingrays, along with space for education programs and special events.
The Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be on April 10th at 11 a.m. at Essex County Turtle Back Zoo.
This event coincides with Turtle Back Zoo’s 50th Anniversary celebration. This is the first time in 20 years that sea lions will be in the Turtle Back animal family.
