REGISTER NOW FOR THE BOLAND GOLF TOURNAMENT WHICH SUPPORTS SPECIAL NEEDS

The annual William “Lefty “ Boland Charity Golf Outing is scheduled for Monday, June 27th at Rock Spring Club in West Orange.  Lefty Boland was a revered figure in West Orange having served as the Township’s Recreation Director for the better part of four decades.   The Boland event is the longest running golf tournament in West Orange.  It is the main fundraising arm of the Boland Grants which provide funds to special needs classes and programs in the West Orange Public Schools.  Grants are earmarked for the purchase of technology items such as I Pads, computers and smart boards.  This year’s grants will be awarded at the tournament’s dinner.    

  Slots for players are available as well as opportunities for sponsorships.  All information can be accessed on the Township’s website @ www.westorange.org.  Navigate to the Recreation Department and click on the golf section.  The Boland Tournament is sponsored by the all-volunteer Boland Golf Committee comprised of Township employees, Board of Ed personnel and dedicated residents.   Members include Bill Kehoe (chair), Nick Allegrino, Bill Boland (son of lefty), John Buoye, Ed Coleman, Kevin Dillon, Frank “Bo” Ench, Joe Fonzino, Nick Galante, Edwin Johnson, Marty Kale, Joe Pelose, Jim Quinn, Danny Tobia and Robert C. Williams.
