The public is invited to join the South Mountain Conservancy in a hike along the entire Turtle Back Trail. About 4 miles at a moderate pace. No registration is needed and the event is free; just come to the meeting point a little before the starting time. Meet at the Turtle Back Rock picnic grove, off of Walker Rd. 0.1 mile in from the traffic light on Northfield Ave. a little east of Turtle Back Zoo.
Steady rain automatically cancels a walk, intermittent showers do not. All hikes are appropriate for children 10 and older with their families. Bring your own water. Ending times are only estimates and may vary due to the weather, or the pace of a particular group. Call the leader, Lou Nocito, at 973-953-7099 if you have questions.
