Famed Banjo Player Will Try To Record With Edison Phonograph
A world-renowned banjo player will try to make sound recordings with a 110-year-old phonograph at Thomas Edison National Historical Park.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Will a world-renowned banjo player be able to make sound recordings with a 110-year-old phonograph? That’s the question that will be answered when Tony Trischka comes to Thomas Edison National Historical Park in West Orange on Saturday, March 9.
According to an event posting from the park, Trischka, a world-renowned banjoist, will make sound recordings using a 1909 wax cylinder phonograph at Thomas Edison's West Orange Laboratory at 1 and 2 p.m. (Learn more about this local event here)
Limited seating will be available at the “first-come, first-ticketed” only. For visitor information click here, or call 973-736-0550, ext. 11. Park entrance fee is $15; children under 16 enter free.
