For the second straight game, a West Orange High starting pitcher didn't allow a walk. The result was expected.
Senior Corey Feigenbaum pitched the Mountaineers to a 6-1 victory over Bloomfield Wednesday afternoon in West Orange. He followed junior righty Adam Miller's standout start that led to a 5-3 win over Newark East Side earlier in the week.
The Mountaineers are now 4-1 with a home game Thursday with cross-town rival Seton Hall Prep.

Feigenbau (2-1) pitched his third complete game of the season. He threw a three hitter, striking out seven and allowed one unearned run. He gave up just two earned runs and five hits in the season-opening 9-2 win against Caldwell April 2, and allowed just four hits in a 3-1 loss to Morris Knolls five days later.
"He was dominant," said coach Steve Zichella of Feigenbaum's latest outing. "He looked awesome. He is just throwing so well right now."

Zichella said that Feigenbaum, who throws in the lower 80s, hit his spots and worked ahead in the count. Feigenbaum threw the ball where he wanted.
"He's not super overpowering, but he has enough gitty-up, he changes speeds so well
that it makes his fastball that more effective,'' said Zichella. "He's a crafty pitcher, a smart pitcher. I've been calling his pitches since he was in middle school and we've worked well together. But he's confident enough to shake me off. He goes what he thinks works."
Junior designed hitter Frank Bakirtzis slammed a two-run homer down the left field line — 350 feet away — in the fifth. It was his second homer of the year. Senior catcher Thomas Attamante slapped a two-run single and sophomore infielder Nick Mockabee had two doubles and two runs scored. Robert Trenk scored all the way from first base on Mockabee's third-inning double.
"He was a catalyst for us," said Zichella. "He broke it open."
