Frank Bakirtzis Signs to Sacred Heart University

West Orange High School football player Frank Bakirtzis will be playing football in college come fall.

Bakirtzis recevied a scholarship to Sacred Heart University (Division 1-FCS).

"Frank Bakirtzis was a tremendous leader on and off the field here at West Orange High School. His ability to lead and connect with so many different personalities while maintaining strong focus on his own goals and ambitions is what separates him from the average high school student-athlete. He has set a high standard for our Tight Ends of the future," head football coach John Jacob said in a release.

Bakirtzis is the third high school student-athlete to be the recipient of a football scholarship this year and is now the 10th since 2003.
