Frelinghuysen Challenger, Sherrill, To Embark On ‘Diner Tour’

New Jersey's diners are the "cornerstones of gathering and good times," 11th District congressional candidate Mikie Sherrill says.

Some political candidates go on campaign tours in fancy halls and at $5,000-per-plate fundraiser dinners. But others opt to spend their time with a different demographic.

U.S. Congressional candidate Mikie Sherrill apparently falls into the latter camp.

On Thursday, Sherrill announced that she will be embarking on an unusual campaign tour, visiting nine local diners in New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District, including eateries in Essex, Passaic and Morris counties.
