Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh Hosting Blood Drive on Sunday Nov 20th

The 16th Annual Schott Blood Drive in honor of Frank Schott, former chief of the Orange Fire Department will be hosted by the Friendly Sons.

The Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh, located in West Orange will be hosting the 16th Annual Frank Schott Blood Drive on Sunday, November 20th at the Shillelagh Club in West Orange (648 Prospect Ave). Full details of the Sunday before Thanksgiving tradition, are included on the flyer.

This Blood Drive was started and run for 15 years by Francine Schott and family in honor and memory of passed member Frank Schott of the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh. Frank was the former Chief of the Orange Fire Department as well as a member of the FMBA Local 210. Frank also served in the U.S. Marines from 1941 to 1945. He was the commandant of the Marine Corps League Grant Mulvihill Post in West Orange and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Reilly Post in Orange.

With the support of the Schott family, the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh - Essex County division, will be presenting the Blood Drive this year.

Vitalant Blood Donation will be the partner again this year. On the day, there will be two bloodmobiles, located in the Club parking lot (near the entrance). Each bloodmobile is limited to two donors at a time). Because of the limited number of donor beds and potential for denials, appointments are required.
