Gas Main Replacement Project Begins In West Orange: See The Schedule

WEST ORANGE, NJ — A gas main replacement project kicked off Monday in West Orange. The work is expected to continue for more than a week, township officials said.

PSE&G subcontractors will be replacing gas mains and gas services over a two-week period in West Orange. According to an advisory from the township:

“Three separate crews will be working simultaneously during daytime hours around West Orange. Expected dates on the specific streets are listed below. Traffic delays may occur and access to certain streets may be limited. The West Orange Police Department will be on scene to direct traffic and to work with residents to gain access to homes. The schedule may be subject to change depending on weather. Thanks in advance for everyone’s patience during this temporary inconvenience.”

The schedule includes:

CREW # 1 (Replacing Gas Mains)

• Beverly Road between Northfield Avenue and Carter Road – Sept. 11,12
• Cobane Terrace between Gregory Place and Northfield Avenue – Sept. 13,14,15, 18, 19
• Grandview Avenue – Sept. 19, 20, 21, 22

CREW # 2 (Replacing Gas Services)

• Northfield Avenue between Prospect Avenue and Ridgeway – Sept. 11, 12, 13, 14, 15
• Benvenue Avenue between Prospect and Northfield Avenues – Sept. 18, 19, 20, 21, 22
• Crestview Circle – Sept. 18, 19, 20, 21, 23

CREW # 3 (Replacing Gas Services)

• Wellington Avenue – Sept. 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22
• Mitchelle Street - Sept. 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22
• Glen Road - Sept. 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22
