Gunfire Near School In Orange Causes Temporary Lockdown: Police

A victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

ORANGE, NJ — A school in Orange was temporarily put on lockdown Thursday morning after gunshots were fired in the area, authorities said.

The gunfire took place in the area of Park Avenue Elementary School, which was temporarily locked down, according to Orange Police Director Todd Warren.

A victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, Warren said.
