Home Health Care Company Celebrates 20 Years In Essex County
Mother-and-daughter owners Melodie Toby and Maeghan Scott held a birthday bash for their company, Right at Home of Essex County.
WEST ORANGE, NJ — A family-owned home health care provider in Essex County recently kicked off its 20th year anniversary at an event in West Orange.
Right at Home of Essex County, which provides in-home care to seniors and adults, hosted a celebration event at The Highlawn in West Orange last week to mark their company milestone.
Mother-and-daughter owners Melodie Toby and Maeghan Scott were joined at the event by Mayor Susan McCartney and members of the West Orange Chamber of Commerce, as well as representatives from local assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers and health care entities.

The company is a family-run love of labor, with founder Moses Scott starting their home care agency because of his personal experience supporting his late mother, Sophia Scott. These days, Maeghan Scott serves as owner and operator, while Toby serves as the co-owner and CFO – in addition to wearing many other hats.
The company operates in towns that include West Orange, South Orange, Caldwell, Cedar Grove, Bloomfield, Essex Fells, Glen Ridge, Livingston, Millburn, Maplewood, Short Hills, Roseland, Verona, East Orange, Montclair and Newark.
