WEST ORANGE, NJ — Need to dispose of a Christmas tree in West Orange? According to a news release from the township, here’s what you need to know for 2023.

TREES ONLY - Trees can't include plastic wraps, tinsel or other decorations. Trees should not be put in a plastic bag.

LOCATION - West Orange residents can put their Christmas trees at the curb for pickup by the Department of Public Works/recycling beginning January 9, weather permitting. Residents can call 973-325-4067 or email publicworks@westorange.org and inform them that a tree has been placed at the curb. Any trees put on the curb after January 27 will be picked up by the town's trash disposal company. For questions, call 973-325-4120 or email healthdept@westorange.org. Residents can also bring them to the Environmental Center, 590 Mt. Pleasant Avenue.
